Profile of Dr. Adolphe O. Amadi

Dr. Amadi is an example of the fruitful blending of intellectual achievement and business acumen. Starting his professional career as a researcher and educator and rising to the position of Associate Professor and Director of Programmes, Dr. Amadi was to channel his abundant creative energies to management and communications consulting, impelled by an overriding need to achieve practical solutions to the perennial developmental problems facing the African continent generally, and Nigeria, specifically.
He has accordingly been involved, for over two decades, in various aspects of this quest in Canada, U.S.A., in Nigeria and other parts of Africa. Specifically, Dr. Amadi has worked in both public and private sector establishments as export marketing consultant, business executive, research fellow, information and public relations officer, lecturer and public speaker, as well as a training and human resource development and management consultant. Dr. Amadi served the Imo State Government of Nigeria, from December 1990 to January 1992, as the Commissioner for Commerce, Industry, Works and Transport.
As an International Investment development expert, Dr. Amadi specializes in human resources and performance improvement in Agriculture and Natural Resources, Mining, Sports development management and community development, good governance and corporate transformation, total quality management, change and culture management, strategic planning and management.
Dr. Amadi is the author of two highly-rated books. African Libraries: Western Tradition and Colonial Brainwashing, published simultaneously in New Jersey and London, 1981, as well as Preparing for and Managing Your Retirement, 1991. He had also published several scholarly articles in reputable professional management and academic journals. He is listed in Who's Who in Nigeria, the International Directory of Intellectuals, the Directory of Scholars and Specialists in Third World Studies, the Directory of International Biography, and the International Directory of Scholars and Specialists in African Studies.
Dr. Amadi is currently the Chief Executive Officer, Dolf Madi International Ltd., Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Sub-Saharan Africa Solar Solutions Ltd, Director Amex Insurance, Dallas, U.S.A., President, Ramp Africa Management Group, Inc., Canada, and the Founder and President, Self-Help Development Facilitators (SEDFA), a non-profit organization.

- Consultant to Federal Ministry of the Niger Delta on Conflict resolution initiatives, peace building, developing women and youth empowerment programme. 2009 – Present.
- Consultant for Nigeria's Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) in Strengthening the Agency's Anticorruption War, including Systems Study and Review, 2008 - Present.
- Consultant to the Manufactures Association of Nigeria (MAN) in the area of tackling fake and counterfeit products, as well as repositioning the Association and making it more responsive to the discharge of its vision, mission and mandate, February 2004 – July 2006.
- Board Member, Holy Rosary Hospital, Emekuku, Owerri, 1995 – 2003.
- Capacity Building Project for Rural Development, Training, Self-Sufficiency and Good Governance in the L.G.As. Pilot Phase with Enugu State, 1994 – 1996. This initiative metamorphosed into the DFID-Enugu State Community Development Initiative.
